Charles Moon

Dr. Moon founded Shine Medical Aesthetics in 2013, combining his passion for science and the desire to help people look and feel their best.   Since then Shine, has embodied that guiding principal, offering the latest skin care treatments and products in a relaxing, contemporary spa setting.

Dr. Moon is a board certified dermatologist who has practiced dermatology for since 2000. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Moon completed his medical degree from the University of Missouri, School of Medicine, graduating Magna cum Laude. He then joined the United States Army as a medical officer and completed his internship and dermatology residency at the Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas where he served as chief resident in his final year of training. Thereafter, he served on active duty, including a one year overseas tour in Iraq. After leaving the military, he was in academic and private practice before founding Advanced Dermatology of Southeast Missouri in 2009.   He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, in addition to other national and local medical societies. Dr. Moon lectures locally and regionally to other physicians on dermatology topics and has authored numerous medical articles and book chapters.
